Welcome to The Oscar Wilde Irish Pub
Built in 1912, the location was a very popular dance hall during the 1920's and then in the 1950's a nightclub, through until the 1980's. In 1991 the Oscar Wilde opened it's doors and was the first Irish pub to open up in the central district of Mitte, in what was formerly East Berlin. Due to the amount of construction work taking place in Berlin in the early 1990's the Oscar Wilde became an important meeting place for construction workers- all looking for a hearty fried breakfast!
The pub has remained a popular meeting place with locals, tourists and expats alike, who can enjoy not only traditional Irish beers such as Guinness and Kilkenny and home cooked food, but also live sport which we show on our two big screens and also every weekend there is either live music or Karaoke.
